We play all types of music from the classic hits to the latest singles and album chart entries. We have UK news on the hour EVER HOUR. we have daily LIVE shows (see whats on link in the main menu)

We broadcast to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, currently reaching from Antigua in Fuerteventura to Teguise in Lanzarote.

Carnavals - 2010

Fuerteventura is now in the Carnaval season until 21st March. Antigua theme is The Sixties, Puerto is The World of Toys, Corralejo is The Forest, Gran Tarajal is The Middle Ages and Pajara is Olympic Games. A bit of make up and a funny hat is enough to join in with the fun!

Biosfera Juan Ismael

There is currently a nice Art and Photography exhibition in the Juan Ismael Art Centre which shows why the Rock won the European Biosphere Award last September, entrance is free and Tues to Sats.

Waterworks

Millions of Euros are currently being spent in delivering, directing, storing or redirecting (excess) water around the Rock. Also some 100,000 Euros has been awarded in grants to aid private and community water deposits. Check your meter for leaks.

Schoolkids Forest

Also related to conserving water, and fighting desertisation is the first Schoolkids Forest which has been planted near Gran Tarajal. 180 local school children helped to plant 350 mixed species hardy trees under the watchful eye of the Cabildo.

1. To listen using the popup player, which will start automatically , you must have popups allowed for this site. If you have already BLOCKED POPUPS, then follow these intructions:

Using Internet Explorer
click on Tools on the top bar, in the drop down menu highlight Pop-up Blocker and choose pop-up blocker settings, a box will open. Type in www.radioqfm.com in the address to allow box and click the ADD button. Click on Close. Restart your browser.

Using Firefox
click on Tools on the top bar, in the drop down menu Click on Options. In the Options Box click on the Content Tab You will see Block popup windows is ticked, that's ok. Beside that there is a button Exceptions Click on that one. Type in www.radioqfm.com in the address of website and click the Allow button. Click on Close then ok. Restart your browser.

Then you must close your browser and restart it. when you enter www.radioqfm.com , the music will start automatically

2. Click the start button on the embedded Player.
