CD Corralejo

Whilst they were sitting in the 2nd B division CD Corralejo were controversially carved up in 2003/4 to create UD Fuerteventura. Friends and fathers of CD Corralejo spent 5 long years in the non leagues re-building to reach the Preferential in 2007 and finally get promoted in 2008 to the 3rd Canarian professional league (effectively fourth Spanish). The season so far has gone well with an excellent home and away record. You can see the home games at the Vincent Care stadium Corralejo alternate Sundays. Radio Qfm is able to offer free match day tickets, contact the station. Our Friday sports show El Agate has regular live interviews with players and the manager.

Fuerteventura Half Marathon

Marathon

After 21, glorious, sunny but gruelling kilometres on the Dunes of Corralejo, 100 runners from Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Ireland and France, came back to Corralejo having completed the FIRST EVER EUROPEAN dunes half marathon. First man home was Roger Roca from Catalunia in 76 minutes (picture right), first lady was Aroa Merino 90 minutes, second man was Gregorio Caceres from Lanzarote (picture centre). This historic half marathon was an initiative (started 2006) of our local running club Columbus Runners - if you interested in some serious recreational running contact Roberto 649863575
