The QFM Story
Original Antenna and solar power 1996 - After 24+ months of being absolute pirates, using peoples roofs and makeshift antenas in Corralejo, we got fed up of dodging about, did an unofficial deal with the local Mayor after being arrested, and set up our first out of town transmitter and antena on a local mountain. that·s when the problems really started!. Our station was initially powered by sun and wind as our extension leads were only 1,234 metres long, and there was no plugs nearby.
Puerto del Rosario 2003 - Our expansion to Puerto del Rosario (Time mountain) and increased cover to Caleta, Antigua and Arrecife Lanzarote, Happy days!
Delta Storm 2005 - Novembers Delta storm was an €8000 set back and a difficult time.
New Antenna Installed 2006 - January, back on the airwaves (never stopped transmitting locally in Corralejo), just in time for the start of the down-turn, but you wouldn·t have thought so from the building still going on. NB, most of them are still empty by the way.
Carnival 2007 2007 - Bucking the trend with our unique Award Winning Carnaval Float, constructed on the mountain with a LOT of help, local sponsorship and beers . At 18:00 on 10th March we drove it into town and into the Fuerteventura history books. No extranjero had ever won before.
Carnival 2007

The story continues. thanks for your interest.Cool
