Rubbish
The Island clean up goes on, a reflection of extra campers, extra tourists and sad humanity. Your local councils all operate a free (low cost for some items) BIG RUBBISH collection service so please use it. Turtles They keep on planting the Turtle eggs in Cofete Beach, each egg (700) costs an estimated €100 to be transported here from Cape Verde by helicopter. Why not just leave them where they are and spend the money on sexy Support The Turtles tee shirts which we can all wear. Water Channels Preparation for The Big Flood continues on the Rock with millions of Euros being spent on clearing out the old natural valleys (the Rock used to have a lot of rivers) and relining many of them. Forty days and counting? |
